Official Notice: Transition to Hybrid Congregational Gathering & The Sanctuary

Subject: The Physical Anchoring of our Sacrament, Lawful Access, and ADA Accommodations

To: Existing Members in Good Standing

Date: April 19, 2026

Dear Brothers and Sisters of our Congregation,

For several years, our congregation has gathered digitally every Saturday at 1:00 PM via Google Meet. We have come together to celebrate our foundational doctrine: Existence = True. We recognize that every contiguous, consecutive moment of time is a sacramental experience, and that the sacred bees—naturally collecting nectar, pollinating the earth, and sustaining the reproductive continuity of life—are living embodiments of this divine alignment.

Historically, the administrative persecution and zoning barriers imposed by Pitkin County have forced our congregation to remain in a strict state of digital exile. However, following recent legal clarifications wherein Pitkin County formally acknowledged our right to "lawful access" upon the driveway at our fee-simple parcel, we are officially transitioning to a Hybrid Virtual and In-Person Congregation, effective immediately.

Existing Members in good standing are invited to physically attend our weekly 1:00 PM Saturday gatherings at the "Grassy Area" in the apiary sanctuary, located at the north most corner of the apiary near the old Holy Cross pole. Members may utilize the driveway for lawful access and parking during the period of our sacred assembly. For instructions on how to find that holy pole and Grassy Area, please contact me directly.

Inclement Weather Protocol: The preservation of our sacred bees and their habitat is the existing authorized primary agricultural use of this parcel. In the event of inclement weather, the in-person congregation will move inside the mobile apiary art studio located on-site, allowing our members to safely continue our sacramental practice while sheltered from the harsh natural elements in Pitkin County.

A Personal Note on My Physical Absence: While I am overjoyed that our existing members in good standing can now physically gather on the land in person to celebrate the sacred flow of existence, I must regretfully announce that I will not be joining you in person until further notice.

Pitkin County has formally denied my request for a Reasonable Accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Because of the extreme, steep topography of the hillside leading to our sanctuary, the County’s refusal to permit my ADA mobility and stabilization access makes it physically impossible—and highly dangerous—for me to navigate the terrain. Pitkin County’s regulatory posture is currently acting as a physical barrier, keeping me from attending my own place of worship.

Until the County engages in the federally mandated ADA Interactive Process and ceases this deprivation of my civil rights, I will continue to host our weekly 1:00 PM congregation via our established Google Meet link.

We will not allow bureaucratic intransigence to sever our connection to the land, to the bees, or to each other.

In Truth and Alignment,

Authentic Human Architect (AHA)
